Paúl Andrés Esis Higuera

Paul is a lawyer who graduated summa cum laude from Rafael Urdaneta University. He specializes in Commercial Law from the same university and has pursued studies in International Criminal Law, Human Rights, and Procedural Law in both Venezuela and Colombia. He joined Rivera Fernández & Associates in February 2019 and is currently an associate attorney in the areas of International Law, Commercial Law, and Civil Law. He has handled the incorporation of commercial companies with foreign investment, international agreements for Venezuelan companies, auditing, and compliance, among other matters. He has also been part of the team in international processes for requesting the removal of data from Interpol and has provided legal counsel to national and international clients regarding international sanctions proceedings.

He handles immigration matters, assisting clients with the processes they require to invest abroad or in cases where foreigners wish to invest in Venezuela. His advanced command of English is essential for this role. Paúl is also a professor at Rafael Urdaneta University, where he has been the professor of Private International Law I and II since 2020, and occasionally teaches the courses of Succession Law and International Criminal Law.
