Paúl Andrés Esis Higuera

Paul is a lawyer who graduated from the Rafael Urdaneta University with the academic distinction summa cum laude. He has carried out various studies in International Criminal Law, Human Rights, and Procedural Law both in Venezuela and in Colombia.

 

He joined Rivera Fernández & Asociados in February 2019, where he has worked as a legal assistant in the areas of Public International Law and Procedural Law. Paul has assisted the litigation team in reviewing and auditing court records, as well as various court proceedings. In addition to this, he has assisted in international processes to request the removal of INTERPOL data and has contributed in providing legal advice to national and international clients in compliance processes with international sanctions. He has also collaborated in legal investigations in different cases.

 

In addition to his work at Rivera Fernández & Asociados, Paul is a professor at the Rafael Urdaneta University in the subjects of Private International Law I and II.

 

During his law studies, Paul participated in various United Nations models since 2014, being accredited as the best delegation in different simulations of the International Criminal Court, International Court of Justice and International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. In addition to this, Paul has an advanced command of English.
