
Specialist in Civil, Family, and Commercial Law. She graduated with honors (Cum Laude) from Rafael Urdaneta University (2017) and has a strong postgraduate background, including specializations in Civil and Family Law from the Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla, Colombia) and in Commercial Law from Rafael Urdaneta University (2024). She also holds a certificate in Business Law from Rafael Belloso Chacín University.
She has been with Rivera Fernández & Asociados since 2017, where she has served as a legal assistant and is now an associate attorney in the area of Private Law, with a special focus on Civil and Commercial Law. Doris has participated in the drafting of civil and commercial documents, as well as in the filing processes with the relevant registries. In addition, she has assisted in various civil litigation matters, appearing before the respective courts and supporting other members of the legal team throughout all phases of these legal proceedings. She has also actively participated in various pro bono cases handled by the law firm and provided legal assistance to nonprofit organizations.
During her law studies, she was on the law school’s honor roll continuously from February 2015 to March 2018 due to her academic excellence. In addition to her professional experience, Doris is the author of the published article “Expropriation for Public or Social Use in Venezuela, 2005–2017: A Weakening of Property Rights?” and has an advanced command of English.
