Dr. Wilmer Alejandro Carmona Urdaneta

Wilmer is a lawyer who graduated from the University of Zulia and a Doctor of Law with international experience in teaching and research. He has been a member of the Rivera Fernández & Asociados Law Firm since its foundation in 1998.

He is an expert in Private International Law, Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law and Succession Law. In addition to this, he is the author of books on Roman Law and Private International Law, which are a reference for students and professionals in these areas.

During his professional experience, he has held various academic positions. He was the Dean of Law at the Rafael Belloso Chacín University, Director of Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the University of Zulia and he is a retired professor of the University of Zulia.

Currently, he is a full-time professor at the Antonio de Arévalo University Foundation (Unitecnar) in Cartagena Colombia, where he teaches in the subjects of roman law, international law and international humanitarian law. He is an advisor to masters and doctorate theses in the field of Law and Political Science. In addition, he has an advanced command of the English language and a medium command of French and Italian.
